Our aim is to work for the children from minority ethnic backgrounds and notably those from South-East Asia.
We are concentrating on children of minority ethnic backgrounds living between Thailand and Burma. They are, in more than 50% of cases, stateless. Some of them are orphans or have parents who have not the means to educate them.
Our initial intervention was the living conditions within the children’s homes for these children: refurbishment of buildings, improving their living conditions; access to water, electricity; food aid.
Nowadays, we focus all our energy on education, in partnership with the local schools; implementation of the Montessori method; creation of libraries, workshops, remedial classes and university scholarships.
We also distribute aid so that the families can send their children to school. This takes the form of food, clothes for the children and other needs met in kind.
We hope that our intervention brings, here and there, help and skills to these children which will allow them to have a calmer future.
