Mushroom workshop!

Enfants des Minorités : mushrooms workshop

Some seeds of new ideas transmitted during summer camp meetings last month have sprouted in the minds of some orphanage directors, who decided to try growing mushrooms  to increase revenue centers.

Indeed, the hundreds of youth and school leaders had visited an agricultural center focused on self-sufficiency. Everyone was able to find ways to ‘organic’ and in particular create a mushroom farm, as additional income source and environmentally responsible.

This was successful because it May 22 , is three centers which have benefited from a workshop “mushroom culture” in schools Toong Prao, where a specialized worker taught them how to grow.

This school is particularly interesting as it supports the self-sufficiency theory defended by the King of Thailand.

Present centers:   Baan Mana, Abu Ali, Home of Ethnic Students.

Low expenses generated by this workshop were financed by our association.

Most shelters seeking new financial resources are getting into raising pigs, rather pollutant in the end, we are delighted that their choices are moving this way and hope to see the fruits soon.
